Case Overview

River Bend Villas Condominium Association, Inc. is an HOA next to Houghton Properties, Ltd.’s property at 3500 Riverbend Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas. On October 14, 2024, the HOA sued Houghton Capital and Houghton Properties in the District Court of Tarrant County, Texas, 348th Judicial District, Cause No. 348-358706-24, claiming that during a windstorm on October 4, 2023, the debris from the collapse of Houghton’s retaining wall and privacy fence fell onto the HOA’s wall and damaged the HOA’s wall. Rachelle “Shelley” Glazer is representing Houghton Capital and Houghton Properties in a counterclaim in the lawsuit that an access agreement governs the relationship between the HOA and Houghton and provides that the HOA will be responsible for repairing the claimed damage. The parties are currently engaged in discovery.
