Cristina Torres is an experienced labor and employment attorney who draws on her litigation, counseling, workplace investigations, and firsthand human resources work to help employers navigate sensitive workplace issues, assess risk, and develop practical solutions. She regularly conducts workplace investigations involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, misconduct, and other complex workplace concerns, and advises employers on employee relations matters, workplace policies, compliance issues, training, and day-to-day employment matters. Drawing on her background representing employers in litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings, Cristina brings a practical and strategic perspective to complex workplace and employee relations issues.
Prior to joining VKHH, Cristina practiced labor and employment law at international law firms for more than a decade. She has also worked directly in human resources and workplace investigation roles, which provide her with a unique understanding of workplace dynamics.
In addition to her practice, Cristina has served as a Legal Research and Writing Adjunct Professor at UNT Dallas College of Law, where she taught legal research and writing and mentored first-year law students in written and oral advocacy.
