The recent addition of VKHH partner Micala Bernardo and senior associates Maria Garrett and Breegan Mayrant to the firm’s growing Employment practice was highlighted in articles published by The Texas Lawbook and Law360. The trio join the firm’s Marc Katz and Todd Mobley in the practice group.

“I am thrilled to announce that I have accepted a position at Vartabedian Katz Hester & Haynes,” Bernardo said in the Texas Lawbook article. “Twelve years ago I started working with Marc Katz at Andrews Kurth in a part-time, non-partnership role, and I have been blessed every day since to get to work with and learn from him.”

According to the Law360 article, Bernardo said moving to a smaller firm gives the team the opportunity to build strong, holistic relationships with clients while developing a comprehensive understanding of their businesses and objectives so they can deliver tailored legal services that best serve the clients’ needs.

“I think the firm’s mindset about handling business and growing is really in line with our group,” she said. “We’re really looking forward to having a new, better platform to serve our clients.”
